Exion RF Ultrasound body is considered a minimally invasive treatment, but like any procedure, all treatments can be associated with some level of risk and carries potential side effects and risks.

Here are some common side effects and risks associated with Exion RF Ultrasound:

• Temporary redness and swelling are common immediately after treatment, usually subsiding within hours to a day. Mild discomfort, warmth, or tingling during the session is manageable and shouldn’t cause significant pain. Bruising might occur due to device contact with the skin, but it typically resolves independently. Some skin sensitivity and minor texture changes like temporary roughness or bumps can occur but usually fade over time.
• Although uncommon, there’s a slight risk of burns or blisters if the treatment isn’t performed correctly or with improper settings. Hyperpigmentation or hypopigmentation, resulting in temporary darker or lighter patches, can occur but tend to fade gradually.Before undergoing treatment with Exion Body, one of our clinicians will inform you of the associated risks and side effects and how to minimise and prevent them.

Contraindications

• Pregnancy or breastfeeding
• Individuals with an electronic implant, such as a glucose monitor, pacemaker or defibrillator, or a permanent implant in the treatment area
• Cancer or history of cancer
• Patients with a history of seizures or epilepsy

Recovery

You can resume to normal activities following Exion RF Ultrasound body treatments, however we recommend avoiding heat inducing activities for the first 24 hours after your treatments, which may include saunas, spas and hot pilates. It’s important to follow the pre & post-treatment care instructions provided by your treating practitioner and attend any follow-up appointments to monitor your progress and address any concerns.
