The Intimate Shot
Brisbane QLD

At Inigo Cosmetic, we are an advocate for women’s health. Intimate issues such as decreased sexual desire, discomfort or urinary incontinence can be treated. Harnessing the power of platelet-rich plasma (PRP), the Intimate Shot is a non-surgical procedure designed to improve your most intimate area.

What is the Intimate Shot?

The Intimate Shot, also known as the ‘orgasm shot’, is a platelet-rich plasma (PRP) treatment that involves injecting components from the patient’s own blood into areas of the vagina, clitoris, G-spot or labia.

The injected PRP aims to trigger tissue repair by stimulating stem cell and collagen production, leading to a boost in vaginal health.

Benefits of the Intimate Shot may include:

  • Increased sexual arousal or desire
  • Increased lubrication
  • More intense and frequent orgasms
  • Improved skin quality and texture
  • Relief from discomfort or pain during intercourse (dyspareunia)
  • Improved urinary control

The Intimate Shot Procedure

After our Registered Nurse draws a small volume of blood from the patient, the plasma is separated from the platelets and the platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is re-injected into the targeted area. The preparation takes around 30 minutes, however the actual injecting portion only takes around one to two minutes and can be made comfortable by the use of topical local anaesthetic.

Our practitioners usually recommend a course of three treatments, performed monthly. For best results, this procedure may be combined with:

Complications from the procedure are generally minimal, however, no treatment is without the risk of side effects. Rarely, patients may experience continuous sexual arousal, sexual arousal with urination, spontaneous orgasms or ejaculatory orgasms.

Some women may also notice increased vaginal sensitivity that can feel like a buzzing sensation or similar types of minor discomfort. In general, platelet rich plasma (PRP) treatments, can potentially result in allergic reaction from the local anaesthetic, bruising, numbness, infection, swelling, or pain.

The Intimate Shot may increase sexual desire, arousal, lubrication and may result in more frequent or stronger orgasms. Additionally, the procedure may relieve or minimise pain experienced during sexual intercourse and may help to relieve urinary incontinence.

The Intimate Shot is generally a comfortable procedure. Topical numbing cream is applied to the area before a small amount of local anaesthetic is injected into the area. Once the area has been entirely numbed, the procedure will begin.

This treatment is suitable for most women of all ages. Women who are menopausal or post-menopausal can particularly benefit, as this is typically the age that the concerns that the procedure addresses commonly occur.

We recommend booking a complimentary consultation at Inigo Cosmetic, to discuss your individual needs and determine whether the treatment is the right option for you.

Results vary between patients. Some women notice an improvement in a few days, some women notice an improvement after a few weeks. Following the prescribed treatment plan will help ensure patients get optimal outcomes from their procedure.

Results from this procedure are not permanent but can last up to about three years. It is recommended that patients undergo maintenance treatments every 18 months or so to ensure longevity.

Patients may resume sexual intercourse 24 hours after their procedure. This helps minimise the risk of infection. Many women describe a “full” feeling in the vaginal area which can last up to 48 hours and may make sexual intercourse uncomfortable.

Due to the tissue healing response from the platelet-rich plasma (PRP), some women have expressed an improvement in the symptoms resulting from the inflammatory factors of lichen sclerosus. It is important to liaise with your regular healthcare provider for clearance before undergoing this procedure.
