Emtone is a body contouring device designed to combat cellulite, crepey skin and skin laxity.
Emtone utilises a combination of of radiofrequency (RF) and targeted energy to penetrate the deep layers of the dermis, effectively addressing the five main causes of cellulite. These include:
- Enlarged fat chambers
- Damaged collagen fibers
- Loss of skin elasticity
- Poor blood flow
- metabolic waste accumulation.
By targeting these underlying factors, Emtone disrupts fat cells, reducing the subcutaneous layer responsible for visible dimpling, stimulates the production of collagen and elastin, strengthening the connective tissue that supports the skin and anchors subcutaneous fat, improves circulation, aiding in the removal of metabolic waste buildup, and tightens the superficial layers of the skin, resulting in firmer and smoother appearance to the skins surface.

4 sessions, spaced 1 week apart
We recommend a minimum of four EmTone body treatments, however depending on your starting point and your desired results, we may recommend up to 6-8 sessions for optimal results.
Best results are seen 6-12 weeks following your last EmTone body treatment. Once you have completed your initial course of EmTone, we do suggest doing a single maintence session every 3 months to maintain and further improve results. For a custom treatment plan we recommend having a body contouring consultation with one of our dermal therapists.

When you arrive at Inigo Cosmetic in Brisbane, you will be welcomed by our reception team, who will ensure you have completed the necessary paperwork for your EmTone treatments. Next, you’ll meet with the practitioner doing your treatment who will take you through for a thorough body contouring consultation.
During your treatment, a cream is applied for glide, the EmTone Applicator is placed over the designated treatment area, using the applicator for the improvement of cellulite and skin laxity.
The applicator will emit controlled energy pulses of radio frequency (RF) and targeted pressure energy that will deeply penetrate the dermis. Your clinician will carefully adjust the settings throughout the treatment to tailor to your needs. You might feel varying degrees of warmth and mild vibrations as the energy is being delivered, but these sensations are generally well-tolerated and can be likened to as a hot stone massage.
The EmTone treatment will go for approximately 60 minutes, in which you can have a chat to your treating practitioner, watch a movie or have a nap.
Following your EmTone body treatments, your treating practitioner will provide you with a post-care pack containing your recommended body contouring treatment plan, post-care instructions, and a schedule of your next appointments.

Risks & complications
EmTonebody is considered a minimally invasive treatment, but like any cosmetic body contouring treatment there are always potential side effects and risks.
Here are some common side effects and risks associated with EmTone:
- Redness, swelling, mild discomfort, bruising, burns, blisters, hyperpigmentation or hypopigmentation, muscle fatigue, muscle spasms, muscle soreness, and unsatisfactory results. Before undergoing treatment with EmTone, one of our clinicians will inform you of the associated risks and side effects and how you may be able to minimise those risks.
Contraindications
- Pregnancy or breastfeeding
- Individuals with an electronic implant, such as a glucose monitor, pacemaker or defibrillator, or a permanent implant in the treatment area
- Cancer or history of cancer
- Patients with a history of seizures or epilepsy
Recovery
You can resume to normal activities following EmTone body treatments, however we recommend avoiding heat inducing activities for the first 24 hours after your treatments, which may include saunas, spas and hot pilates. It’s important to follow the pre & post-treatment care instructions provided by your treating practitioner and attend any follow-up appointments to monitor your progress and address any concerns.
