Risks & complications
Like any cosmetic treatment there may be potential side effects and risks associated Sith MiniFX.
Here are some common side effects and risks associated with MiniFX:
- Redness
- Swelling
- Mild discomfort
- Bruising,
- Burns
- Blisters
- Hyperpigmentation or hypopigmentation
- Unsatisfactory results.
Before undergoing treatment with MiniFX, one of our clinicians will inform you of the associated risks and side effects and how you may be able to minimise those risks.
Contraindications
- Active sores, infections, sunburn in the area
- Individuals with an electronic implant, such as a glucose monitor, pacemaker or defibrillator, or a permanent implant in the treatment area
- Cancer or history of cancer
- Patients with a history of seizures or epilepsy
Recovery
There is generally no downtime following a MiniFX treatment, meaning that you are free to resume your regular activities afterwards. You may experience some redness, warmth or light bruising in the treated area, however, this will generally subside within a few days. We recommend avoiding heat based activities like hot yoga, saunas & spas for the first 24 hours after. We also recommend staying well hydrated pre and post appointment.

You may generally begin to notice the results of MinFX following two or three treatments. Results may continue to gradually improve over 3 – 6 months following. a course of treatments. Maintenance treatments may be undertaken every 6-12 months.
Results may address cellulite, fat deposits and contouring.
