O-Shot Consent

WHAT IS BEING INJECTED?

The O-Shot or Orgasm-Shot is performed by injecting Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP), a component of your own blood, into the vagina and clitoris region. Plasma contains growth factors, which stimulate new cell growth, tissue healing, and collagen and elastin production.

USED TO TREAT:

  • Sexual disfunction (enhance orgasms)
  • Vaginal dryness
  • Lack of vaginal sensation
  • Urinary incontinence
  • Lichen sclerosis

RESULTS

Patients can just have one treatment or come back for more, which will build on the existing results. 8 weeks is generally recommended between treatments to ensure the full effects of the first treatment have been felt. The production of collagen can take up to 3 months to occur and the results can differ depending on the patient. Results can last up to 3 years but vary widely among individuals.

Factors such as home care products, use of SPF, smoking, water intake, stress, or illness will affect results and the frequency of treatments required.

WHAT TO EXPECT

The vagina is numbed using topical anaesthetic, before being injected with local anaesthetic to further numb the area.

Blood is drawn from the arm and then spun in a centrifuge to separate the red blood cells and white blood cells from the plasma components.

The plasma is then injected into the required area using a very fine needle.

The injections may sting for a few seconds, but most patients describe the process as comfortable. The procedure will take around 30–45 minutes to complete.
